El mezcal es una bebida ancestral de México que proviene del agave, y aunque existen más de 200 tipos de agave en todo el país, tradicionalmente se consideran como magueyes mezcaleros alrededor de 40 variedades.
Cada mezcal está asociado a una especie de maguey, a una región campesina, a una familia mezcalera y es todo esto, en combinación con el suelo que le da vida, lo que otorga a cada mezcal su característico sabor, color y aromas.
